MY OPINION ABOUT SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE DEVELOPMENT OF OUR COUNTRY AND THE WAY TO FIX IT

Development can be defined as a coordinated effort to create an alternative to the more legitimate every citizen to meet and reach their aspirations of the most humane. Or in other words, development is a process of change that includes the entire social system, such as politics, economics, infrastructure, defense, education and technology, institutions, and culture to achieve improvements. Basically, development can not be separated from the growth, in the sense that the development can lead to growth, and growth will occur as a result of development. In this case, the growth can be a development / expansion or improvement of the activities undertaken by the community.

In Indonesia currently is being intensively conducted in development. Development occurs in all aspects of life, for example in the fields of politics, economy, infrastructure, defense, education and technology, institutional, and cultural. As development progresses, problems began to arise. And if we talk about the problems that occur in the development of our country, it would never end. These problems including of the:

- Economic growth

- Poverty

- Corruption

- Infrastructure

- Education

ECONOMIC GROWTH

Economic growth in the developing country is generally low. Economic growth is influenced by several factors, namely:

- Human resources

- Natural resources

- Mastery of science and technology

- Cultural factor

- Capital resources

Human resources are the determinants of economic growth. It can be seen from how much man's success in making a move to increase economic growth by using the available resources. Natural resources also play an important role in determining economic growth. Mastery of science led to the development, initially work was done by using the human hand, but now it has been replaced by sophisticated machines that have an impact on aspects of efficiency, quality and quantity of its economic development activities undertaken and ultimately result in the acceleration of economic growth. Cultural factors affect individual committed to economic development, this factor may function as a generator or driver of the development process but can also become an obstacle to development. Culture that may encourage the development of such is an attitude of hard work and smart work, honest, tenacious, and so on. The culture that is can inhibit the development process including the anarchist attitude, selfish, wasteful, corruption, and so on. Human capital resources needed to process natural resources and improve the quality of science and technology. Capital resources in the form of capital goods are essential for the development and continuity of economic development for capital goods can also increase productivity.

But is happening right now in reality, that is many people who have not been able to exploit their natural resources well. Management of natural resources in our country mostly handed over to the experts from abroad. In other words, the natural resources in Indonesia managed by other States. For example, about petroleum, Indonesia exported crude oil and imported its own ready-made oil as a fuel at a price that is certainly more expensive. That is because human resources are available in Indonesia, which is actually very much, but less able to master science and technology. Many people who feel pessimistic before doing anything, the nature of dishonesty, not working hard, and the things that had been cultured. Culture is hampering economic growth. Factor of capital owned by natives is limited, as a result, economic activity does not run as expected.

To solve the problem of economic growth required to educate society. Learning can be training to improve the ability of science and technology. In addition, we must plant positive values ​​in society such as the attitude of hard work and smart work, honest, hard working, and so on. That nature can grow a positive aura for economic growth. If science and technology are overwhelmed, and the public has a positive attitude, the natural resources that are available can be managed either by the people of Indonesia itself. With the attitude of togetherness, to obtain business capital is not difficult. People in need business capital could be assisted to set up their business. Based on this, it is possible that economic growth can be run as expected.

POVERTY

After the economic crisis in 1998, Indonesia's economic situation has not been able to fully recover. Currently there are still many people living below the poverty line. In addition, there are many people whose incomes little above the poverty limit. This group highly vulnerable to the change of the economic conditions, such as rising price of primary commodities or decreasing the level of the economic needs. Oftentimes, poverty can force people to commit a crime. Therefore, the problem of poverty is still a serious need to be noticed because the purpose of Indonesia's development is completely development.

The problem of poverty can be alleviated by providing assistance the form of business capital or tools that can be used to start a business. Such as providing milling machine, the person who received such assistance can use these tools to make the business as rice milling, flour milling, and so on. The provision could also the form of animals, the animals can be farmed. So, people are given help able to work as a breeder. By help, the poverty rate was slowly declining.

CORRUPTION

            Combating corruption in Indonesia has been actually running for a long time, almost as old as the republic stands. Various repressive efforts made to public officials of state officials who are convicted of corruption. Eradication policies and institutions that already exist are apparently  not enough to bring Indonesia out of the corruption. Under this condition, Indonesia still labeled as one of the most corrupt countries in the world of course there are some things that are less appropriate in the implementation of policies or the performance of the anti corruption agency. Anti-corruption agency currently does not have full authority and sometimes under pressure or intervention. It makes less maximum performance of anti-corruption agency. The less of work/performance of anti-corruption agency which is make the corruption is growing.

            Eradication of corruption is the key to achieve Indonesia’s vision to be free of corruption. Even though it’s difficult but it’s not impossible, especially with the existence of the institution such as the commission that have full authority in the field of enforcement and prevention. Although the commission has been equipped with various facilities which is support its authority and to be a focal point in fighting corruption in Indonesia. But it still needed some prerequisite to achieve Indonesia’s aim to fight corruption. That prerequisite are revise the anti-corruption laws that can make a maximum act of corruption institutions to against the corruption and corruptors can easily be judged, the need for a consistent political support from the government, and the need of support from all people for implementing anti-corruption programs. The fight against corruption should be oriented to the financial rescue efforts and the wealth of the country, the fight against poverty and underdevelopment.

INFRASTRUCTURE

           Infrastructure is the physical building or facility that supports continuity and social and economic growth of a society. Infrastructure is what determines fluency and acceleration of development. The faster and bigger of the economic development that was about to be moved, the more of infrastructure facilities is needed. Infrastructure possesses high positive externalities (support) the development of various economic sectors, rather obvious lack of infrastructure and the resulting utilization of economic resources become not optimal, even to grow to the level expected.

           Conditions that Indonesia's economy has long shackle. Infrastructure procurement so far only in its early stages at least, while the maintenance of various infrastructure facilities are so inadequate as for physical infrastructure in Indonesia has reduced or decrease the quantity and quality. Length of the way in almost of all big and medium cities in Indonesia, have long been unable to withstand the surge of vehicles. As a result not only jams but also tremendous economic losses. Similarly, dams and irrigation canals in various area, since more than a decade didn’t get the attention so that, it’s unreliable as a source of agricultural irrigation as well as the main instrument of flood control and drought.

           To solve the problem of infrastructure, the government should focus on main infrastructure first, in order to quickly get treatment. The government should also involve the private sector in development projects so that construction could walk fast, because the government does not always involve spending funds from the State Budget and Local Budget Expenditure.

EDUCATION

           Education curriculum in Indonesia is also a problem that needs to be fixed. Because it almost every year remodeled and there’s a standard curriculum used. The often of a change in curriculum will make the learning process interrupted. Because the focus of learning is done by the teacher will change to follow the new curriculum. Especially if the core curriculum used is different from the old curriculum adjustments resulting in a fairly long learning process. From the past to the present, problem of educational infrastructure remains a major problem for education in Indonesia. This is because there are many schools that haven’t received assistance for repairing the school building.

           Seeing so many problem of education in Indonesia is needed right solution to overcome them. The government should be able to improve the quality of education, earnestly cooperate with other countries that are more established to support the educational improvement of Indonesia. However, in cooperation the government must not directly apply the foreign way, but must be considered first by taking the most appropriate and good to be applied in Indonesia.
